Gal Gadot just wowed everyone with her acceptance speech at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards. She gave the speech after deservedly winning this year’s #SeeHer award.
In it, she talked about the rise in female-led films this year and that there’s still a way to go. She joked about a little boy stating: “When I grow up, I want to be a woman!” after seeing Wonder Woman, and she all round emitted that now-very-familiar and effortless Gadot glow and charm.
You can watch her speech in full below:
The #SeeHer award acknowledges women who push boundaries in changing stereotypes and recognise the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape. Patty Jenkins presented the award.
We’re really happy that Gal, very deservedly, nabbed this award. And just as happy with grace and intelligence she exhibited when accepting it.
She closed out with:
“My promise and commitment to all of you is that I will never be silenced, and we will continue [to] band together to make strides, uniting for equality.”
Proving, once again, that she’s an inspiration for us all.
